The weekend of March 13 and 14, 2010 was hailed as the kick-off time for Coffee Parties all across the country which were “billed as the liberal response to the Tea Party movement” as reported by Alex Pappas in the “The Daily Caller” dated 03/13/10 in an article titled: “Low-key java drinkers in Washington kick off Coffee Parties.”
I think I heard a rumor that two individuals who looked suspiciously out of place went into one Washington, DC designated “Coffee Party” shop looking for a gathering of noisy and speech making revelers and were chagrined to find only two people present, and one was drinking hot chocolate. Robert and Rahm were disappointed and as they were leaving they were heard saying, “Let’s go and give Barry the bad news.”
The aforementioned Alex Pappas was a bit more successful in his search for the Coffee Party merry-makers in Washington, DC when at the Peregrine Espresso of the Eastern Market area he found “a small gathering of five activists huddled at a small table.”
The five present consisted of a woman professor on sabbatical from Berkeley, two younger college buddies, and the two “others said they learned about the gathering from Twitter and from word of mouth.”
Pappas concluded his article by stating that while the TEA Party group is trying to “transform the energy of the movement into results” at polls in November, that didn’t “seem to be the goal of these coffee drinkers who appear to rather just enjoy good conversation.”
Remember the old saying, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” I don’t think those coffee drinkers were in the mood for old sayings and they probably looked like they had been sucking on raw lemons.
That liberal response that was expected probably was more of a soft “Tweet” on “Twitter”.

"Unbelievable - Harry Reid. Hidden deep in the Health Care Bill this passage.
They never stop, they will keep trying to shove this down our throats until they get it through...pass this on to everyone..
The impudent tyranny of Sen. Harry Reid!
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada is proving once again the maxim that darkness hates the light. Buried in his massive amendment to the Senate version of Obamacare is Reid's anti-democratic poison pill designed to prevent any future Congress from repealing the central feature of this monstrous legislation!
Beginning on page 1,000 of the measure, Section 3403 reads in part: ". it shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection." In other words, if President Barack Obama signs this measure into law, no future Senate or House will be able to change a single word of Section 3403, regardless whether future Americans or their representatives in Congress wish otherwise!!
Note that the subsection at issue here concerns the regulatory power of the Independent Medicare Advisory Board (IMAB) to "reduce the per capita rate of growth in Medicare spending."
That is precisely the kind of open-ended grant of regulatory power that effectively establishes the IMAB as the ultimate arbiter of the cost, quality and quantity of health care to be made available to the American people. And Reid wants the decisions of this group of unelected federal bureaucrats to be untouchable for all time.
No wonder the majority leader tossed aside assurances that senators and the public would have at least 72 hours to study the text of the final Senate version of Obamacare before the critical vote on cloture. And no wonder Reid was so desperate to rush his amendment through the Senate, even scheduling the key tally on it at 1 a.m., while America slept.
True to form, Reid wanted to keep his Section 3403 poison pill secret for as long as possible, just as he negotiated his bribes for the votes of Senators Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Ben Nelson of Nebraska and Bernie Sanders of Vermont behind closed doors.
The final Orwellian touch in this subversion of democratic procedure is found in the ruling of the Reid-controlled Senate Parliamentarian that the anti-repeal provision is not a change in Senate rules, but rather of Senate "procedures." Why is that significant? Because for 200 years, changes in the Senate's standing rules have required approval by two-thirds of those voting, or 67 votes rather than the 60 Reid's amendment received.
Reid has flouted two centuries of standing Senate rules to pass a measure in the dead of night that no senator has read, and part of which can never be changed. If this is not tyranny, then what is?"

Prelude to an income tax
By Lee Quandt
About a week ago I went to the Exeter Chamber of Commerce, as advertised to its members, as an LLC information meeting with the guest speaker our one and only local senator. I was truly interested to see what was going through the liberal’s heads when they pushed an income tax on 45,000 LLC’s in NH. Knowing that the tax magnet was going to be the guest speaker I was curious.
I’m still curious because instead of explaining the changes she was trying to defend them. Then the speech degenerated into a Senator Maggie campaign speech about how wonderful the liberals are and all the wonderful things they have accomplished. Our local senator touched on about everything from health care, health care delivery, the RGGI tax on our electric bill, insulation of homes; the list goes on and on. It was about a 2 hour campaign speech.
On two occasions people either asked questions that she couldn’t answer or made the statement, in a very polite manner, that her information was not accurate; OH, OH, BUSTED. An indirect admission that she didn’t know what she was doing when she pushed this through. What a surprise??
I still did not get any information that helped me to understand exactly what they did and why. Only a designated attempt to smooth over what was done in the hopes you wouldn’t hold it against her in the next election. I would hate to live in a house with all the mirrors painted so I didn’t have to look at myself in shame.
I did call the chamber presidents office a few days later and left the message that most of the information the tax magnet put out was wrong and we could bring down a senator or two to address the chamber on the facts of what the LLC will do and how it was done. I’m still waiting for a return call.
I am waiting for a friend to return from a trip to invite him and any other senator who wants to come to Exeter to set the record straight and we will find a place to meet.
I am disappointed in the Exeter Chamber for not making an attempt at being fair and balanced in the information their members get.

Oxymoronic government
By Jerry McConnell
I often get pressured by liberal supporting goons who send emails tearing down everything I write about the corrupt and decidedly anti-American, Constitution-destroying, part of our government.
They are, without doubt, words that prove America is no longer the country that was created to provide rule that was embedded in Constitutional law . This current government majority has no concept of the rule of law that was established 234 years ago by our Christian founders who escaped from tyranny in European monarch-ruled countries.
Hordes of strong-armed and weapons-armed undesirables hired by money-hungry and corrupt labor union bosses will soon deliver our once proud country to the horribly corrupt and unbelievably incompetent third world officials of the United Nations. George Soros will be ecstatic when this transformation of a powerful sovereign nation is reduced to multitudes of slaves, robbed of all their earnings and property, dying a slow death.
My greatest desire is to possibly still be around when the Muslims detach Soros from his billions and show him what happens when you don’t convert to their murderous religious dictates.
But for the moment, Obama’s other hired thugs have chosen to harass me via email for speaking the truth about his illegal and country destroying collection of thieves, tax cheats, and liars aided and abetted by the liberal Democratic leadership in our Congress. Pardon my use of an oxymoron by referring to “liberal Democratic” leadership.
We all know that liberal, as one political party uses it, translates into “anything goes” as long as they have absolute control over your life from cradle to grave.
On the other hand, Democratic or democracy is supposed to mean absolute rule by the people; a far cry from the ‘behind closed doors by a handful of despots’ rule that we see being exercised not only by our Congress but by the president and his gaggle of henchmen and henchwomen Administration.
So, ‘liberal Democratic’ is a perfect example of the oxymoronic government we see in America today. In fact, our highest leadership is becoming closer by the day to an absolute dictatorship.
Transparency means behind-closed-doors decision making to Obama and his oxymoronic liberal Democratic Congress, with few or preferably no members of the Republican Party present.
However, there are signs that new waves of change, this time really for the better, are beginning to take over. After earlier victories in Virginia and New Jersey, we have witnessed the just finished contest for the Senate seat in Massachusetts, long in liberal Democrat hands being won by a strong conservative at great odds.
The stunned Democrats are scrambling to find out what happened to this contest that just a mere few months ago was safely predicted to be an impossible task for a newcomer to politics named Scott Brown. But conquer it he did, and the surprised pundits and strategists of the Democratic Party are blaming it on anything but the actual cause of their candidate blowing a huge lead in a short period of time.
The people had been growing restless with the reckless programs of the liberals that had plunged us into a state tremendous debt and the promise of huge tax increases and wealth redistribution to mostly illegal aliens and non-producing residents.
Time.com also presented their arguments on what went wrong, curiously also choosing five areas, not ONE of which touched on the subject of forced Socialism for the U. S.
All of which makes me wonder if the liberal Democrats are so power hungry that they are brain-dead to the inevitability of what they are striving to accomplish. Socialism or Marxism, there’s not too much different in either, relying primarily in redistribution of wealth by seizing money earned fairly through mostly lifetimes of hard work and productive employment benefitting our country, and handing it off to those who are undeserving of it.
Socialism is not generally regarded as one of the front-runner issues like health care reform, cap and trade, public debt, labor union transgressions; deficits or huge taxes; but it is the underlying most discomforting thought in people’s minds that tends to initiate aggressive corrective actions.
It has taken less than one year for the bulk of this country’s citizens to realize what the liberals themselves have not yet recognized; that they are being robbed of their private wealth and their property will be next.
Conservatives are on a roll and they want their country back to the ideals of our founding fathers along with the strong Constitution that was forged 234 years ago.
It will happen November 02, 2010.
